An Engaging Science Fiction + Comedy Movie

Today I’ll sharing about one of my favourite movie ever which is Indru Netru Naalai! This is one of the movie that I’ve watched more than 20 times in a year time.

This movie starts in the year 2065, where a scientist (Arya) invents a time machine and when he sends it back in the year 2015, the machine does not return back to the original year after thirty seconds. This time machine is seen by Elango (Vishnu) and Pulivetti (Karunakaran) along with another person Gridhara Parthasarathy (T.M. Karthik) when they meets an accident and has witness the arrival of the time machine. Elango and Arumugam uses the time machine by going back to the past and find things lost by people under the guise of Arumugam’s astrology. Everything goes smoothly until one night when they return to the past to find a lost item and they inadvertently prevented an encounter (kill) Kuzhandavelu (Ravi Shankar). He is a gangster who is supposedly be dead by that night in the past, but due to the mistake by Arumugam and Elango ,he will be alive in the future days. They decides to go back to the past to fix their wrong, but the villain accidentally shoots the time machine and cause it to be damage. Things turn upside down and changes drastically so quickly. At the end, Elango wake up in bed, to his surprise, he is getting married to Anu (Mia George) on that day. They have been in relationship for a long time but their love is rejected by Anu’s father. He does not remember anything happened in these two month till the night they saw the time machine. He finds out without the help of the time machine, he managed to impress Rajarathinam and leads him to his marriage with Anu. Elango and Arumugam finds out that Kuzhandaivelu is dead two months ago and Parthasarathy does not recognise them, Since the time machine was never been seen by anyone in 2015, it came to the year 2065, making it a success.

This film is acted by hero Vishnu, who is getting better day by days. He has done a wonderful job to his role. My favourite film of him would definitely be Mundasupatti which made me laugh historically and of course Indru Netru Naalai. While Mia George has also given an adorable performance as Anu in this film. Karunakaran is a talented comedian who manages to win our heart. And another person who deserves to be mentioned is T.M. Karthik who has done a total different role by playing a geek scientist. Jayaprakash, Ravi Kumar has done their part adequately.

C.V Kumar as the producer has perfectly delivered his work for this film just as expected. This fantasy ride with not so much science references is a different type of movie that deserves attention by everyone. Usually when we watch a film about time machine and time travel, there are things that should be included that is a machine and also scientist. But I have been exposed to these kind of film only from West and not from Indian cinema. But Indru Netru Naalai is a very simple yet convincing movie that should be watch by everyone. The production by C.V Kumar is excellent and looked consummate.

Overall, this film is total engaging and moves steadily from beginning till the end. For me, this film is not predictable as there are many twist and you will get hooked up to the screen. So for those who haven’t watch this great sci-fi fantasy movie, I advise you to go and watch now. Don’t miss such a wonderful movie from Indian cinema.
