Hello! I’m back this week with another review of another movie. This week I’m going to share review of one of my favourite movie of this year.

Anegan is a film of two lovers (Dhanush and Amyra) who separates despite loving each other for numerous lifetimes. The film begins in Burma, many years ago with Samudra (Amyra), the rich girl falling in love with Murugesan played by Dhanush and they are killed by their enemies and afterwards, we are shown to Madhumitha again played by Amyra at a psychiatric clinic while she narrates her past life story. Madhu works in a video gaming company and the works are constantly has tight deadlines and all the workers there is forced to go regression therapy by their boss, Kiran (Karthik). When Madhu sees Ashwin (Dhanush again), she is surprised and happy as she still recognises him from past life Things get weird when their boss shows excessive care and sympathy but Ashwin, as the hero senses some lurking danger. In spite of all of that, he starts to fall in love with her after a period of time. Everything will fall into places and the truth will starts to be revealed one by one. At the end, the real culprit is found and is one of them that claims to be nicest of all.

Dhanush plays four role in Anegan Source from onlykollywood.com

When it comes to acting, Dhanush, is undoubtedly in his splendour days where he is capable of doing everything. Murugesan, Kaali, Munaruna, Illamaran and even Ashwin, name it and he will show you how it’s done. Amyra as the new face to Tamil industry has acted well as the lip-syncing is on point too. While our yesteryear beloved hero, Karthik who comes back with the same charm after years. Karthik with his usual style still brings magic to the movie. Other casts of Anegan such as Aishwarya Devan, Vinaya Prasad, Ashish Vidyarthi have also done their part wonderfully,

The one scene where Dhanush will mimicking Karthik’s style in delivering dialogue is a major hit where everyone in the theatre claps.

A film by KV Anand, he managed to make the audience glued to the screen for beginning till the end as the film is full with mysterious, which the writers of this film are known for. A total different kind of film is what makes the audience excited to watch and he nailed it. When it comes to technical aspects, credit goes to the Om Prakash for the impactful and at the same time very interesting visuals according to the time period of the story.

Not only that, a special mention to our music director who has done his part perfectly for his songs. Harris’s background scores are so soothing yet pleasantly enjoyable. This song becomes a so-called current fashion song among the youngsters for quite some time.

In conclusion, I really enjoyed watching this film for more than once. This is a story that simplifies a complex context by not showing too much depth. For those who haven’t watch yet, please do so as this will worth your time. Thank you!

Here's a comedy scene from the movie ( with no subtitle)
